The Telos Consort is a group of creatives seeking to reimagine the concert experience through the performance of new and newer works by living composers. We seek to create an environment for the avid concertgoer and novice new music listener alike, acknowledging the often exclusionary world that classical music has been and remains to be. We program music by some of the most influential voices and voices-to-be of our time — encouraging genre inclusivity and the presence of the untraditional.

Join the Lakeside Piano Trio (with Emily Munn-Wood, cello, and Geena Kam, piano) in concert! The RRAC Summer Concert Series aims to find connections between visual and musical arts as well as make classical music more accessible to all members of the Buchanan area community. Performances are presented in a casual setting allowing interaction between the musicians and audience. Musicians share the history and story behind the works presented, and they create a deeper connection between the audience and music. These concerts are family and kids friendly, accessible, and free to the public.

Experimental violin ensemble Du.0 (Aimée Niemann and Charlotte Munn-Wood) will perform SOUNDNEST. This piece is an integrated space to listen and reflect on the sounds of nature. Du.0 will bring trees, bugs, and stars to SOHO with field recordings from upstate and graphic scores by Niemann. Du.0 will be joined by guest performer s.arinade.

Telos Consort Plays ShapeShifter

The program will feature two world premieres by Cole Reyes and Thomas Giles; other works included are by Jules Biber, Kyle Landry, Emily Praetorius, Viet Cuong, and Giacinto Scelsi. This performance is programmed around works for Telos Consort’s unique instrumentation composed by members of the ensemble. Performers are saxophonist Thomas Giles, saxophonist Kyle Landry, violinist Charlotte Munn-Wood, cellist Jules Biber, pianist Huizi Zhang, and composer-in-residence Cole Reyes.
